What I Offer

I offer counselling sessions online either over the phone or via video, and work with adults over the age of 18.

I am an Integrative Counsellor which means that I have a variety of models in my knowledge and skills box and integrate them so that you get the best service which I can offer.  Some of the models I may use would include:

Person Centred Therapy

This focuses on a person’s self worth and values.  To be valued, without being judged, and to help a person accept themselves for themselves.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

This focuses on thoughts, feelings and actions, helping to understand the link between each one which can affect us on a day to day basis.

Solution Focussed Therapy

This focuses on how the person copes with situations, how they have coped in the past and if this needs to be altered or changed to help in the future.

Creative Therapy

Creative Therapy allows for expression without the need for words, such as drawing, painting and photography.

Transactional Analysis

This is based on the 3 ego states – Parent, Adult and Child.  By recognising these ego-states, a person may be able to identify how they communicate, and if this can be changed.

My Qualifications Are:

I also complete regular training in professional development to ensure that my skills and knowledge are up to date.

I am members of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online) and NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) work within their ethical frameworks for best practice, to ensure that I offer you the best and most appropriate form of therapy.

My style of working is more conversational so that it can encourage a collaborative approach between us, developing a sense of trust and safety, whilst you receive a sense of not being judged and taking advantage of the fact that I am impartial and so therefore, your perspective is the most important thing.

I offer long term and short term counselling, which ever is appropriate to help you. 

Together with your life experiences and struggles and my skills, we find ways to help you heal, create a deeper insight into how you are as a person, why you have certain thought patterns and feelings, and discovering ways to help you cope in the future by developing a pot of wisdom and strategies which you can help to nip future issues in the bud, or to pass that wisdom on to others if it will help.
